A scorpion asked a turtle to carry him on his back across a river. "You'll sting me while I'm swimming and I'll drown." "If I do that, you would drown and I would die too." They agreed. Halfway across the river the scorpion stung the turtle."Why did you do that?" asked her "Now you'll die too." He answered "I can't help it. I'm a scorpion. It is my nature."

Pues esta historia, con la salvedad de que al escorpion lo acompana una rana o un sapo, no recuerdo exactamente cual de los dos bichos era, pero estoy seguro de que no era una tortuga, aparece citada (y muy bien citada, ademas) en la pelicula "The Crying Game", pelicula recomendable, por lo demas.
